From YOVAC to Covenant House Chapel

Our Story

In 1980 Chap met a friend who was also his senior in Obuasi Sec-Tech. Abeku Williams showed exceptional interest in him that created a bond which can hardly be separated.

Through Abeku, he met George Kingsley Amoako (in 1982) also a senior in Obuasi Sec-Tech and our hearts lit together by a common burden to do God’s work.  We found joy to go from secondary school to secondary school to preach Christ. To-date many established Christian leaders have been produced through YOVAC ministry who are scattered all over the world.

Discussions to begin church started from 1992 but not without hurdles – young as we were. However, on 10th March 1996 light broke through on us and we began Covenant House Chapel led by Bishop GK Amoako.

In 2008, working as a Budget Manager in AngloGold Ashanti, Chap was transferred to Accra. And in 2010 light broke through and we began the Accra branch – Prayer House.

VISION

To build a vibrant and a militant church that would cut across the globe with the aroma of the presence of the Holy Ghost that would serve the needs of generations.

MISSION

Our mission is to carry the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to everyone, everywhere by every possible means.

STRATEGY

Our strategy is to raise and equip leaders who would be sent forth to the Nations of the world to plant local churches. The local churches would be another of the same kind: vibrant and militant, carrying the aroma of His presence.
